Project Title: AGEID (Control Centers for Safe Living for the Elderly with Intellectual Disabilities)

Description: Development of a portable security sensor kit and device interface platform via the Internet or Bluetooth.
The purpose of the project is the development of supportive applications for people with intellectual disabilities, mainly the elderly, based on wearables and sensors that are available on the market, at affordable prices. The project will study, design and evaluate a range of wearable (biometrics, location, motion) and fixed sensors (motion, presence, door open/close, environmental conditions, noise) to find the most suitable ones in terms of reliability , interoperability, user acceptance, efficiency and maintainability. Then, using these sensors, monitoring and support services for the independent living of elderly people with intellectual disability will be developed.
