The Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Disabilities "To Ergastiri",

with many years of presence in the field of intellectual disability providing quality services aimed at social integration, well-being and the creation of new opportunities for adult people with intellectual disabilities and their families, begins by walking in the steps of professionalism, consistency and responsibility the implementation of a modern and personalized Early Intervention and Counseling program.

It is an holistic intervention aimed at children (0-6 years old) who have received a diagnosis or are among groups at high risk of developing developmental, motor and sensory disorders, as well as their families.

The scientific team, utilizing modern scientific data and the basic guidelines of early intervention, provides personalized services that are distinguished in three important areas:

- early detection / assessment

- early intervention

- the counseling support of the family

The implementation of the aforementioned services takes place in the family environment, in the educational context and in the Early Intervention and Psychological Support center of "Ergastiri" in Athens

A large body of international research demonstrates the effectiveness of Early Intervention programs in areas such as communication skills, language and cognitive development as well as their association with positive situations including child-parent emotional bonding, parental well-being and improved family relationships.

Given the above, the main goals of this program are the promotion of the child's development, the creation of positive experiences during childhood, his social integration and the well-being and strengthening of the family context as a whole.

The services of the Early Intervention and Psychological Support center are located at 169, Patision Street (4th floor) in the center of Athens. You can contact us at 2108695869 and at proimi@ergastiri.org
